We are excited to open expressions of interest for the 2027 Conference Committee. The National Archaeology Student Conference is organised entirely by a volunteer student committee whose passion and dedication makes the event possible. We warmly welcome applications from students around Australia interested in joining the Organising Committee for NASC 2027.

Leadership role overseeing all conference marketing and outreach. Responsibilities: - Build and manage a content calendar across Instagram and Facebook, including paid ad campaigns timed around key registration milestones - Coordinate speaker outreach and promotion in collaboration with conference leadership - Ensure consistent, on-brand messaging across all channels from launch through to event day We're looking for someone with: experience in social media management or digital marketing, strong written communication skills, and the ability to work to deadlines independently.

Leadership role responsible for logistics, from planning to pack-down. Responsibilities: - Ensure all regulatory and safety requirements are met (security, lanyards, sponsor materials, etc.) - Draft the initial conference schedule and coordinate catering and welcome packet production - Oversee the smooth running of all three days of the conference on the ground We're looking for someone with: strong organisational skills, experience in event logistics, and the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.

Leadership role responsible for the financial health of the conference from planning through to delivery. Responsibilities: - Research and approach potential sponsors, managing correspondence and proposals end-to-end - Build and maintain a detailed budget, including ticket pricing modelling and projected profit/loss - Track all expenditure (catering, printing, Welcome to Country, welcome packets, advertising) and monitor the conference bank account. We're looking for someone with: financial literacy, strong attention to detail, and confidence in managing spreadsheets and sponsor relationships.

Supports the Communications Coordinator with content creation and scheduling. Responsibilities: - Help create and schedule content across social media platforms - Assist with research into advertising opportunities and campaign performance We're looking for someone with: an interest in marketing or communications, confidence using social media platforms, and a creative eye.

Supports the Events Coordinator with research and on-the-day delivery, program drafting, and other tasks. Responsibilities: - Research catering, accommodation, speakers, and welcome packet content, ect - Assist with conference materials and help coordinate the event across all three days We're looking for someone with: strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed.

Supports the Treasurer across budgeting, research, and sponsor outreach. Responsibilities: - Research potential sponsors and assist with outreach and proposal preparation - Help maintain the budget tracker and conduct cost research as directed We're looking for someone with: an interest in finance or sponsorship, good research skills, and reliability.
