Frequently Asked Questions
Abstracts
Q. When will I hear about whether my abstract was accepted or not?
A. You will hear if you have been accepted or not within two weeks of the abstract closing date. You should have received a submission receipt in your email; if not, check your spam.
Q. When will I know what day and time I will present?
A. Once our final program is released closer to the conference, you will be able to view your timeslot. Additionally, once this has been released, each presenter will receive an email with details of their presentation slot, including the day and time.
Q. Can I submit a preferred date to present due to overlapping commitments?
A. If you have a request for a specific day/time, please reach out to us through the contact form or by email. We will try our hardest to accommodate your needs and find you a slot in the program, but we cannot guarantee that this is possible for everyone. We will contact those whom we cannot accommodate and inform them of what we can do.
Q. What sort of format should my presentation be in?
A. Your presentation must be done in PowerPoint; if you have any technical issues with this format, please contact us.
Q. What if I am unable to present anymore? Do I get my money back?
A. If you are no longer able to present, please contact us through email or the contact form. In regards to getting money back, refer to our refund policy and information page.
Q. Can I edit my abstract submission if something changes?
A. If you notice an error in your abstract, you may reach out to us for assistance. But you will need to do this as early as possible, as changes will not be possible during the finalisation of our program.
Q. Am I required to bring my own laptop or adapters to present?
A. You do not have to bring your own laptop or adapters since all will be done through NASC equipment. This means you are required to submit your presentation to NASC before the conference so they are ready to go for the sessions, as there will be a quick changeover between presentations. You can bring your laptop for a script if that's what you desire but it is not necessary for the presentation.
Q. Does the presentation need to be shared with NASC, and will my work be protected?
A. Yes, you are required to send your presentation to NASC so it can be ready on the day. Only the NASC committee will have access to the presentations, which will be deleted at the conclusion of the conference to protect your work.
