Lakes Bus Terminal

Looking for an easy way to get to UQ? The Lakes Bus Terminal is the way to go. Connecting to multiples bus routes across the city, this stop is definitely one of the best ways to get directly to UQ and to explore the rest of Brisbane.

UQ Ferry Stop

Want to catch a relaxing ferry to and from UQ? The UQ Ferry Stop allows you to do just that. The ferries go throughout the Brisbane River, connecting to popular areas like South Bank, the city center, Northshore Hamilton, and of course UQ.

UQ Lakes

Come visit the stunning UQ Lakes for a refreshing atmosphere. Located right next to the Lakes Bus Terminal, UQ Lakes has beautiful views and plenty of areas to catch a quiet break at. You may also see a diverse selection of local animals that occupy the area year-round.

Antiquities Museum

Visit the largest collection of classical Mediterranean antiquities in Queensland at the UQ RD Milns Antiquities Museum. This museum also regularly hosts a number of rotating exhibitions alongside its permanent displays. The UQ RD Milns Antiquities Museum is located on the second floor of the Michie Building, only a short walk from the UQ Chancellor's place bus stop.

Anthropology Museum

Visit the UQ Anthropology Museum to see a stunning and varied collection of ethnographic material culture from Australia and surrounding islands. The museum's collection represents a unique insight into the social and cultural histories of First Nations and pacific islander peoples during the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The UQ Anthropology Museum is located on the First floor of the Michie building towards the UQ Chancellors Place bus stop.

UQ Lakes 

Right near UQ Lakes is the Lakes Food Court. Home to UQ’s own Main Course establishment and more

Hawken Drive Village

Just a 15-minute walk away from campus is the Hawken Drive Village. A great selection of local restaurants, cafés, and places to grab a quick bite. The Hawken Drive Village has a great selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Come visit Southbank and see the cultural centre of Brisbane. Home to the Queensland Museum, the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA), the State Library of Queensland and much more! Plus check out the Queen Street Mall, the shopping centre of Brisbane. If you want to do any shopping or find some great places to eat this is the place to go. Both are easy to get to from either the ferry or buses directly from UQ.
