The Australian Research Council Training Centre for Archaeology in the Resources Sector is setting out to help change the way mining companies engage with cultural heritage management by training a new generation of archaeologists at the doctoral level.
It’s a 5-year, $18m collaboration between Traditional Owners, mining companies and cultural heritage consulting firms.

Submissions that reflect on the integration of Indigenous knowledge systems, cultural authority, and ethical collaboration are especially encouraged. Let us gather on Kaurna land not just to look back, but to look forward to shape an archaeology that is responsive, responsible, and resonant with the many voices of this place.
This conference invites contributions that speak to the integration of diverse ways of knowing: Indigenous and Western, technological and traditional, material and relational.
CALLING ALL HUMAN BIOLOGISTS
The Australasian Society for Human Biology (ASHB) welcomes all those with an interest in a wide range of subjects linked to human biology, including medicine, anthropology (physical, forensic, and social), primatology, evolutionary biology, archaeology, bioarchaeology, and comparative anatomy.
This year our Conference will be held online from the 8-10th of December, with physical hubs open at universities throughout Australia for members to participate in-person. Our Conference provides a forum for discussing the latest research in human biology and includes presentations from invited regional and international experts. Standard 15-minute presentations and 5-minute lightening rounds are open to both postgraduate students and established researchers. Abstracts are open now and close 30th September.
