About the event
Join us at the University of Queensland for the National Archaeology Student Conference 2026 from the 30th of September to the 2nd of October! Come learn about Australian students' research and work on the topic of ‘Perseverance: Australian Archaeology Through Change and Continuity’.
In-Person Conference Activities Include: A full program of exciting presentations from students around Australia; Careers exposition which will connect students and recent graduates with organisations and companies looking to recruit; Workshops from specialists in the field; Presentations from specialists in the field; Free tour with the Australian Heritage Specialists (30 person capacity); Tour with the Queensland Museum (30 person capacity); Conference Reception; Conference dinner (80 person capacity)
Also included: morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for full three days!

Join Australian Heritage Specialists (AHS) for a walking tour of Brisbane's Historic Wharf Precinct. Starting at Howard Smith Wharves and ending at Naldham House, this tour will explore the built and archaeological heritage of Brisbane's early wharf precincts. During the tour, the AHS team will share first-hand experience and insight into how these sites are conserved, interpreted and managed. The tour will be accessible for all, and easily reached via public transport.
